Spelling Cabinet Level 1 with Activity Cards

The Spelling Cabinets are a Montessori-inspired set of three wooden cabinets designed to support phonetic understanding, spelling, and vocabulary development. Each cabinet contains 8 drawers with 5 objects and 5 corresponding cards, focusing on different phonetic concepts such as short and long vowels, consonant blends, and advanced spelling patterns.

Cabinet 1 – Short and Long Vowels: This cabinet is focused on teaching the distinction between short and long vowel sounds. Each drawer contains 5 objects that correspond to either a short or long vowel sound (e.g., cat and cake, bed and bee). Children can use the objects and the corresponding cards to reinforce their understanding of vowel sounds and practice spelling words that contain short or long vowels.

Cabinet 1 includes two trays of activity cards. Each tray contains 3 sets of commands utilizing the objects in the cabinet. For example, "Put the pig on the rug". On the back of each command card  is an illustration of what the objects should look like after completion, for self-correction.
