Early Reading Book Set with Carousel

Introduce reading in a joyful way with our set of 32 early reading books housed in a rotating bamboo book carousel. Thoughtfully designed to follow the same progression as our Spelling Cabinets, these books provide children with a clear, sequential path toward confident, independent reading. While they pair seamlessly with the cabinets, they are equally powerful as a standalone language material.

The collection begins with the Pink Set, which focuses on simple CVC words. In the first 2 books, children read a single phonetic word on one page (such as “pig”) and turn the page to find a corresponding illustration. This simple format allows children to independently confirm their reading through visual self-correction while connecting abstract written language to concrete imagery. As confidence grows, the next 2 books introduce short phonetic sentences paired with illustrations, helping children naturally progress from decoding single words to reading complete thoughts.

The Blue Set continues this progression with four- and five-letter phonetic words featuring consonant blends and short vowel sounds, such as “skunk” and “crib.” The familiar structure allows children to build fluency while encountering more complex phonetic patterns.

The Green Set introduces long vowel sounds in its first 4 books, with words such as “kite” and “snake.” The remaining Green Set books transition children into beautifully illustrated phonetic stories that emphasize specific phonograms and reading patterns in context. Each book begins with sight-word flashcards that prepare the child for any non-phonetic words they will encounter, helping them approach reading with confidence and success.
