I Match I Spy Level 1

The I Match I Spy activity is a fun and educational tool that helps children develop visual recognition and phonemic awareness. The game includes 10 real objects, corresponding illustrated cards, and silhouette cards for progressive matching challenges. It encourages children to identify objects by shape, illustration, and beginning sound.

For the matching portion of the activity, the children progressively match object to illustration, silhouette to illustration, and object to silhouette. For the “I spy” activity, the teacher or parent will “spy” one of the objects, giving the beginning sound of the object as the clue. For example, “I spy something that starts with the sound ‘m’”, and the child will then choose “mirror”.
